  A: The installation process for transmission control cable assembly starts by attaching the shift cable grommet retainer to the control assembly and subsequently guiding the assembly through floor opening and fixing with two bolts which need torque at 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). After connecting the 2 cable ends you must install washers and clips before adding 2 new clips to the control cable bracket. Install the shift cable end on the shift lever assembly by using a clip while placing the shift cable outer with its projecting section oriented upward toward part A of its lock.
