2009 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the Hood Cable Assembly on 2009 Toyota Camry?
A: Start the Hood Cable Assembly removal process by disconnecting the front wheel followed by the removal of its extension pad through the 3 screws' removal. The front repair begins with removing the Cool Air Intake Duct Seal for 2GR-FE engines before moving onto Front Bumper Assembly extraction. The repair plan involves fog lights if they exist in the front bumper. Next proceed to remove the front fender liner after unfastening it with five clips and a bolt and four screws and a grommet. Proceed to eliminate the High Pitched Horn Assembly from the system. The Hood Lock Assembly needs three bolts removal along with disconnecting the hood cable before extraction of the assembly when an Engine Hood Courtesy Switch is not present. The Hood Lock Assembly that comes with the Engine Hood Courtesy Switch requires disconnecting its connector and removing 3 bolts to separate the hood cable prior to disassembly. The first step to disconnect the hood cable and proceed to take out the Hood Lock Control Lever Sub-Assembly. Finally detach the clamps with a screwdriver while keeping the tip tape-secured then extract the cable from the engine compartment for complete removal.
