The first step to detach the Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly requires complete front wheel removal and removal of the front wheel opening extension pad after unscrewing its three screws. The first process requires detaching the front bumper assembly before moving on to remove the front fender splash shield sub-assembly through 5 clips and a bolt and 4 screws together with a grommet. Perform High Pitched Horn Assembly removal as the next step. You should start by disconnecting the hood cable before taking out the assembly after unscrewing 3 bolts. To finish the operation first disconnect the hood cable before removing the hood lock control lever sub-assembly. A screwdriver with taped tip will allow the disconnection of clamps so that you can pull the cable from the engine compartment for total removal.

Installing the hood cable assembly requires passing it through the engine compartment to the upper radiator support and attaching the clamps. Add the hood cable lever and complete attachment of the hood cable. Installation of the hood lock assembly sans engine hood courtesy switch requires MP grease application on the sliding areas of the lock coupled with attachment of the hood cable followed by usage of 3 bolts with 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) torque. Proceed with the assembly steps as before while also establishing the connector for the engine hood courtesy switch model. After installing the high pitched horn assembly workers should install the front fender liner through the grommet with 4 screws and complete the installation with a bolt and five clips. First inspect and adjust the hood sub-assembly before putting on the front bumper assembly alongside possible fog lights and both the seal for the cool air intake duct 2GR-FE. Secure the 3 screws into the front wheel opening extension pad after which you can install the front wheel. Before adjusting foglights the technician should prepare the automobile for inspection following the adjustment procedure. Any required adjustments must be performed.

Use 3 screws, then install the front wheel.

Begin by removing the front wheel and the front wheel opening extension pad by taking out the 3 screws.

Take off the front fender liner by removing 5 clips, a bolt, 4 screws, and a grommet.

Use the grommet and 4 screws, then secure with a bolt and 5 clips.
