The next step requires removal of the fan and generator V belt followed by taking off the crankshaft pulley. The Special Service Tool: 09213-58013 91651-60855 will securely position the pulley during the removal of the pulley bolt. Continue with the Special Service Tools 09950-50013 09951-05010 to both remove the pulley bolt and delete the pulley itself. To remove the timing chain or belt cover oil seal you should first cut its lip with a knife and then pry out the oil seal using a taped screwdriver tip. Sparse damage on the crankshaft should be smoothed with 400-grit sandpaper before examination.
