  A: The initial step for 2AZ-FE control system Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch removal requires draining all engine coolant. Disassembly of the air cleaner assembly starts with connector removal from the mass air flow meter followed by wire harness separation and vacuum switching valve deconnection and ventilation hose and No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose separation. Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp then unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp before extracting the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the No. 1 air cleaner hose. Start by removing the filter element sub-assembly from the air cleaner unit while separating the wire harness before extracting the three bolts followed by the air cleaner case sub-assembly removal.
