    A: Before handling the vacuum brake booster you must disconnect the negative battery terminal cable and drain all brake fluid while washing off paint immediately after any fluid spillage occurs. The first step entails taking away the front wiper arm head cap before dismantling both left and right front wiper arm along with their blades. Hatchback owners need to remove the hood to cowl top seal but sedan owners should take off the cowl side ventilator sub-assembly from both their left and right sides. Remove the complete subset of cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and the left louver when dealing with hatchback models. The following steps include removal of the front wiper motor together with link and the cowl to register duct sub-assembly for hatchbacks and the front air shutter seal for sedans. Continue by disassembling both hatchback and sedan vehicles through removal of the outer cowl top panel and the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly and the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly. First remove the battery along with its tray before taking out the battery carrier. Every ABS system requires removal of the brake actuator while disconnecting clutch reservoir tubes exists only on manual transaxles and removing brake master cylinders. By utilizing Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 disconnect the brake booster through separate clevis of the brake master cylinder push rod and remove the brake tube assembly from the proportioning valve while disconnecting the two brake tubes from brake tube No. 1 way. Use clips to sever the vacuum hose connection with the check valve and afterward remove four nuts to extract the brake booster. Also remove the brake booster gasket. To complete the procedure disconnect the brake vacuum check valve assembly by removing both the vacuum check valve and the grommet which is attached to the brake booster.
