2008 Toyota Tundra Control Arm Parts Q&A
Q: How to reassemble the front lower Control Arm on 2008 Toyota Tundra?
A: Installation of the No. 1 spring bumper LH to the vehicle starts by applying 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf) torque. The installation of new front No. 2 lower arm LH bush requires Special Service Tools 09710-26011 and 09710-05081 together with a press to press a bush into place with bush positioning protrusions perpendicular to the lower arm. A new bush for the front No. 1 lower arm bush LH is inserted through Special Service Tools 09223-00010 and 09612-30012 while using a press. Combining the front lower ball joint attachment LH to its nut and new cotter pin requires a torque of 167 Nm (1703 kgf-cm, 123 ft-lbf) until the cotter pin holes reach proper alignment if necessary, increase the nut torque to 60 degrees.
