The first step for installing the stop light switch involves attaching the 2 claws onto the stop light switch mounting adjuster. The next step involves placing the stop light switch while it touches the pedal cushion with an applied force below 98 Nm (1000 kgf-cm, 72.3 ft.-lbf). Use clockwise rotation to fix the stop light switch on the adjuster allowing movement less than one pitch (a thread length measurement) with 1.5 Nm (15 kgf-cm, 13 in.-lbf) torque at 90 degrees. The stop light switch needs contact with pedal cushion first then attach the connector after having ensured proper positioning.
