How to remove the ignition switch on 2008 Toyota Tundra?

When replacing the ignition switch for the 1GR-FE starting system begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable terminal after waiting for at least 90 seconds past ignition switch OFF to allow navigation system memory and setting storage. Before beginning, remove the steering column assembly following left and right steps for manual tilt and manual tilt with telescopic format. When completing the upper steering column removal you need to remove the switch bracket assembly regardless of manual tilt or manual tilt with telescopic specifications. The last step requires the removal of the ignition switch assembly.
