The installation process of the 2TR-FE Engine Control System Camshaft Position Sensor requires applying a small amount of engine oil to its O-ring. Mount the sensor with the bolt until it reaches 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf) torque while inspecting the O-ring for damage and obstruction. Proceed by attaching the camshaft position sensor connector after application of engine oil to the O-ring. The last step is connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal by applying force of 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf).
