  A: The first step for installing a 2GR-FE throttle body on its control system includes setting down a new throttle body gasket onto the intake air surge tank. Use four bolts to secure the throttle body while tightening them to 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). The installation process requires the connection of 2 water by-pass hoses with attachment of throttle body connector and clamp. Begin by attaching 2 bolts to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and then link the vacuum hose (EVAP) to the air cleaner hose before securing the No. 2 ventilation hose together with the air cleaner hose band followed by connecting the 3 vacuum hoses.
