  A: The first step for installing the throttle body on the 2GR-FE engine control system requires using a new throttle body gasket on the intake air surge tank. The throttle body requires 4 installation bolts which must reach a torque specification of 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). After the 2 water by-pass hoses installation, install the throttle body connector while securing it with the clamp. Two bolts fasten the air cleaner cap assembly where the vacuum hose (EVAP) needs attachment to air cleaner hose as well as joining the No. 2 ventilation hose and air cleaner hose band then connecting all 3 vacuum hoses.
