The first step to replace the throttle body demands draining engine coolant from the system. A socket hexagon wrench 5 will remove the 3 cover nuts leading to the removal of the sub assembly before completing the cover removal. Begin air cleaner cap sub assembly removal by disconnecting all parts which include the mass air flow meter connector alongside the 3 vacuum hoses and fuel vapor feed hose from 2 hose clamps and ventilation hose. Unscrew the bolts on the air cleaner cap while also unbolt the hose clamp to remove the air cleaner cap assembly with both air cleaner hose No. 1 and the filter element. The throttle body assembly requires disconnecting both the throttle motor connector and the water by pass hoses No. 2 and No. 3. Take off the gasket from the intake air connector by removing both throttle body bolts and nuts. The intake air connector should receive a new gasket before you install the throttle body using its 2 bolts and 2 nuts which require a torque of 11 N.m (112 kgf.cm, 8 ft.lbf). First reconnect the throttle motor connector followed by water by pass hoses No. 2 and No. 3. The air cleaner cap sub assembly should be reinstalled with a torque of 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf). Reconnect the 2 retainers on the V-bank cover sub assembly after filling it with engine coolant then use a socket hexagon wrench 5 to tighten the 3 nuts reaching a torque of 7.9 N.m (81 kgf.cm, 70 in.lbf).
