2008 Toyota Sienna Drive Belt Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to properly install the Drive Belt on 2008 Toyota Sienna?
A: The first step for installing the V-ribbed belt on a 2GR-FE engine entails putting the belt on all pulleys except the tensioner pulley. Special Service Tool: 09249-63010 allows the user to turn the belt tensioner counterclockwise while removing the bar. The difficult installation can be resolved by turning the tensioner counterclockwise while placing the V-ribbed belt on the tensioner pulley with the backside facing the tensioner and idler pulleys. Check how the belt fits each pulley by confirming its correct insertion into the ribbed grooves while ensuring it stays within the pulley groove on the crank pulley bottom. Set the front wheel RH with a torque of 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). After that install the front fender apron seal RH.
