  • Q: How to remove the windshield glass on 2008 Toyota Sequoia?
    A: Disconnect the battery cable from its negative terminal to disable the Air Bag system and wait for 90 seconds before starting work. First secure your workplace then take apart both wiper arms and blades before unsealing the fender to cowl area on each side. First lower the front roof section partway and remove the front door scuff pads, cowl top ventilator cover parts, cowl side trim boards, and front door opening trim Weather Strips before taking out the side pillar garnishes and hood console box assembly. Also remove No. 1 room illumination assemblies and light systems with and without entertainment features from both seats. Plus you need to take off visor bracket protectors and visors together with or without light functionalities. Lastly detach the assist grip assembly from its plug. After removing the inner rear view mirror unit disconnect the windshield outer and upper mouldings with a knife in a way that avoids body damage. Attach protective tape over the installation zone on windshield glass and run a piano wire through the body then glass to hold it still before cutting off adhesive with wire movement. When using the glass again mark its alignment points then use suction cups to carefully lift it out without dropping the windshield. Scrape off the window glass adhesive dam and both No. 2 windshield stoppers gently and put fresh replacements after glass extraction. Take out both No. 1 stoppers and replace them with fresh ones.
