    A: A proper procedure to remove windshield glass involves disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable before allowing an 90-second SRS system-disable period. The windshield glass removal procedure commences by disassembling the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH and LH followed by front fender to cowl side seals RH and LH and cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly then proceeds to front door scuff plates RH and LH. The next step requires removing both the cowl side trim boards and both front door opening trim Weather Strips along with the front pillar garnishes. The service technician must remove the roof console box assembly along with the No. 1 room light assembly, the visor bracket covers RH and LH, the visor assemblies RH and LH with and without illumination. Detach the assist grip sub-assembly together with its plug before lowering the front section of the roof headlining assembly slightly. The skilled laborer should remove the inner rear view mirror assembly before proceeding to cut out the windshield outside moulding and upper moulding while being cautious not to damage the vehicle body. First secure the windshield glass area with protective tape before running a piano wire between interior components to wooden-block attached ends. The wire will be used to peel off the adhesive from around the windshield glass. The technician applies matchmarks to the glass windshield and vehicle body before removing the windshield glass with suction cups after disengaging the No. 1 and No. 2 stoppers. Put aside the window glass adhesive dam then remove both the No. 2 and No. 1 windshield glass stoppers while replacing them with fresh ones.
