• Q: How to install the throttle body on 2008 Toyota RAV4?

  A: The first step to install the 2AZ-FE throttle body on the control system should involve placing a new gasket on the intake manifold. Installing the throttle body requires 4 bolts which need to be tightened to 30 Nm to achieve 305 kgf-cm (22 ft-lbf) torque. Beginning with the fuel tube installation into the clamp position the maintenance then proceeds with connecting the wire harness clamp and throttle position sensor and control motor connector. The installation process requires attaching the No. 1 throttle body hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose in addition to the purge line hose with its fittings to the throttle body. The air cleaner cap gets installed by inserting the air cleaner filter element into the case, then placing the hinge part of the cap before securing it using two hook clamps. Attach the No. 1 air cleaner hose after properly orienting its clamp marks towards the throttle body.
