The first installation step for the a246e automatic transaxle speedometer sensor includes submerging an O-ring in atf before attaching it to the sensor. After attaching the driven gear to the speedometer sensor through the clip you need to mount the speedometer sensor assembly by tightening the bolt to 11 Nm (115 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). First, attach the connector and afterward install air cleaner hose NO.1 followed by the air cleaner assembly with hose using 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf).
