2008 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to install the Control Arm in the front suspension on 2008 Toyota Camry?
A: Installation of the front suspension lower No. 1 arm begins with the front lower arm bushing stopper installation followed by front frame assembly attachment through 3 bolts and nut. The front suspension lower No. 1 arm needs to be attached to the front frame assembly using 3 bolts and a nut without tightening at this moment. Start by installing the front suspension lower No. 1 arm to the front frame assembly using 3 bolts and a nut while keeping them loose at this point. Then tighten the first bolt to 200 Nm (2,040 kgf-cm, 148 ft-lbf) followed by tightening the second bolt to 206 Nm (2,100 kgf-cm, 152 ft-lbf) according to numerical order. The installation of engine mounting insulator requires application of 3 nuts at 87 Nm (887 kgf-cm, 64 ft-lbf) torque. The final step consists of installing the engine assembly with transaxle based on the proposed procedures for 2AZ-FE and 2GR-FE engine removals.
