2007 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the rear No. 2 Control Arm on 2007 Toyota Camry?
A: Service and repair operations of the rear No. 2 suspension arm start with removing the rear wheel from the vehicle. Remove the bolt located on the inner portion of the rear No.2 suspension arm then move to eliminate the bolt and nut situated on the outer side of the rear axle carrier while taking care to avoid nut rotation. When installing the rear No. 2 suspension arm begin by using the bolt to tighten the inner section until the paint mark faces behind the vehicle then secure the bolted connection between outer and rear axle carrier while keeping the bolt snug but preventing nut rotation. Stabilize the suspension first and afterward fully tighten both bolts until they reach 100 Nm torque (1,020 kgf-cm or 74 ft. lbs.). Fit the rear wheel and secure it with a torque of 103 Nm which equals 1,050 kgf-cm or 76 ft. lbs. An inspection followed by any required wheel alignment modifications should be performed at the end of the process.
