The necessary service requires removal of lower No. 3 steering wheel cover followed by lower No. 2 cover then steering pad and steering wheel assembly. The service requires removal of both the front door scuff plate LH and the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH and the lower instrument panel finish panel LH for TMC and TMMK manufacturer vehicles. The service continues with steering column cover removal for vehicles made by both TMC and TMMK and turn signal switch assembly with spiral cable sub-assembly and No. 1 instrument panel sub-assembly and lower instrument panel finish panel from Smart Key System and non-Smart Key System vehicles. The technician needs to remove the instrument cluster finish No.1 panel together with the combination meter assembly for both TMC and TMMK made vehicles as well as the front door scuff plate RH, cowl side trim sub-assembly RH and instrument panel No. 2 under cover sub-assembly. The service worker should first remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly for TMC and TMMK vehicles before proceeding to the shift lever knob, or automatic and manual transaxle sub-assemblies, before finishing with the removal of TMC and TMMK lower instrument panel sub-assemblies and floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly (for automatic transaxle only) together with upper console panels (for manual transaxle) and upper console rear panels (automatic/manual transaxles).
