2008 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to operate the A/C Switch effectively on 2008 Toyota Camry?
A: The first step for air conditioning panel removal involves taking off the shift lever knob sub-assembly from both automatic and manual transaxles. You must take out the No. 1 and No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnishes. The floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly disconnects when dealing with automatic transaxles but the upper console panel must come off when working on manual transaxles. The assembly order starts with removing both automatic and manual transaxle upper console rear panels followed by the TMC and TMMK made upper console panel sub-assembly. The second step requires removing the instrument panel No. 2 register assembly. The radio receiver with heater control assembly and both radio No. 1 and No. 2 brackets need removing from the manual air conditioning system. The installation of automatic air conditioning systems requires removal of the navigation receiver with heater control panel and the radio No. 1 and No. 2 brackets. The technician must discard both the air conditioning control assemblies shown in the illustration for manual and automatic air conditioning systems.
