Q: How to troubleshoot an A/C Switch on 2007 Toyota Camry?
A: Service and repair of the control assembly starts by taking out the sub-assembly of shift lever knob and then the No. 1 and No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnishes. The service and repair of the control assembly starts with removal of the automatic transaxle's floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly and the manual transaxle's upper console panel and its associated upper console rear panel sub-assembly. Next proceed with removing the upper console panel sub-assembly together with the instrument panel No. 2 register assembly before taking out the radio receiver with heater control assembly for manual air conditioning or the navigation receiver with heater control panel for automatic air conditioning. The radio brackets for No. 1 and No. 2 positions must be dismounted from both air conditioning systems. Additionally the air conditioning control assembly for each system needs uninstallation. Installation of the components starts with the air conditioning control assembly before putting on the radio No. 2 and No. 1 brackets followed by the radio receiver with heater control assembly or navigation receiver with heater control panel then the instrument panel No. 2 register assembly and lastly the upper console panel sub-assembly. The last task involves installing upper console rear panel sub-assemblies along with floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly for automatic transaxle and upper console panel for manual transaxle and No. 1 and No.2 instrument cluster finish panel garnishes and the shift lever knob sub-assembly for both transaxle types.
