Draining engine coolant must be the first step before removing the throttle body from the 2UZ-FE engine control system. The first step to removing the throttle body cover sub-assembly includes removing its two nuts. The P/S idle-up and fuel pressure regulator vacuum hoses together with the ventilation hose need disconnecting before removing the air cleaner hose assembly. Next disconnect the water by-pass hose and both water by-pass hose part No. 7 while seperating the throttle position sensor connector. To remove the throttle body unit together with its gasket a technician should take off the three bolts and one nut.
