- Q: How to install the rear wiper motor and its components on 2008 Scion xD?A: Apply MP grease to the wiper motor grommet lip starting from the entire surface until the hole stays free from grease but the grooves become completely filled. Fasten the rear wiper motor grommet by placing its marking section upward. The installation of the rear wiper motor requires the placement of three bolts with a torque setting to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) while the connector should be connected at this time. First clean all metal residue from the wiper arm serrations using a round wire brush before cleaning the wiper pivot fractures with a wire brush too. Operate the wiper while positioning the rear wiper motor in automatic stop before attaching the rear wiper arm using a nut passing 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) torque during the manual hinge bending. The rear wiper arm head cap needs to be closed. The installation sequence includes finishing by placing the back door trim board assembly and back door inside handle with the back door side garnish LH and RH parts, also including the back door trim upper panel assembly.
