Customers must start their hood cable service with wheel removal from the front side. Begin by removing the rocker panel moulding cover then the side mudguard from the vehicle. Remove the front fender liner LH first by removing nine clips along with six screws before proceeding to take out three grommets; replace this grommet because it will break down when removed. Take out 3 bolts to disconnect the hood lock assembly and detach its control cable afterwards. The next step involves disconnecting the hood lock control cable for a second time before taking out the hood lock control lever sub-assembly. Wind up the protective tape on a screwdriver to use with disconnecting clamps and pulling the cable from the engine compartment for final removal completion.
