  A: A standard seal with dimensions of 2.2 to 2.5 mm (0.09 to 0.10 in.) should be applied continuously for water pump assembly installation by using Toyota Genuine Seal Parking Black, Three Bond 1207B, or equivalent products. Begin by removing existing packing from the contact surface before application. Apply the seal packing within 3 minutes to the contact surface or it must be removed and applied again. The surface should remain oil-free during this process. The water pump installation requires 4 bolts and 2 nuts that need 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) torque. Next, connect the crankshaft position sensor wire to the clamp bracket followed by installing the crankshaft position sensor clamp onto the water pump. Special Service Tool: 09960-10010 09962-01000 09963-00700 should be used to fit the water pump pulley through its installation with 4 bolts torqued to 26 Nm (265 kgf-cm, 19 ft-lbf). The generator assembly installation should follow the fan and generator V belt installations. After the cable attachment route the negative cable to its terminal where you should apply torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Then add engine coolant and check for any leakages.
