How to remove the steering knuckle on 2008 Scion xB?

The first step to remove the steering knuckle starts with removing the front wheel followed by taking out the front axle hub nut. The next sequence requires detachment of the front speed sensor and tie rod end sub-assembly and front disc brake caliper assembly. First disconnect the front disc before separating the front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assembly. The technician needs to eliminate the front axle assembly and front lower ball joint assembly. Remove the steering knuckle by disassembling each of its 4 bolts and axle hub before rotating the hub and bearing magnet rotor side upward to avoid contact with pollutants and then detach the front disc brake dust cover from the knuckle.
