  A: The first step for removing the parking brake cable begins with taking off the rear wheel. The procedure begins with removing the upper console panel sub-assembly then the console box carpet followed by the console box assembly. Complete the removal of the console box mounting bracket through the process of removing its five bolts. Disconnect the parking brake lever sub-assembly after all other procedure steps. Similar installation techniques must be used to disconnect both the Number 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer and the Number 2 parking brake cable assembly from the equalizer. The first step involves disengaging the two claws from the parking brake cable so the assembly can be extracted from its position on the end stopper. Then the stopper can be easily detached by disengaging the claws holding it to the parking brake equalizer. The front floor center brace and center exhaust pipe assembly should follow the previous components.
