- Q: How to disassemble the Clutch Master Cylinder on 2008 Scion tC?A: The procedure for Clutch Master Cylinder disassembly starts by removing the Clutch Master Cylinder Kit through pin punch hammering on its slotted spring pin. You need to first remove the inlet union with grommet then let go of the lock nut before getting rid of the clevis. Loosen the threads on the lock nut attached to the push rod then remove both the lock nut and boot connected to the cylinder body. Use snap ring pliers to eliminate the snap ring when you push on the piston rod for removal. After that carefully lift out the push rod from the cylinder body. You must remove the stop plate together with the push rod before extracting the piston containing the spring from the cylinder maintaining care for the cylinder body inner components.
