  • Q: How to service and repair the Canister Purge Valve on 2007 Toyota Tundra?
A: Begin repairs of the Canister Purge Valve by disconnecting the negative battery cable but remember initialization might be needed after reconnecting the cable to the terminal. You should switch off the ignition and wait for 90 seconds while the navigation system records its memory and settings until you disconnect the cable. Service the Canister Purge Valve by first removing the two purge line hoses along with the purge VSV connector then disconnecting the V-bank cover and unmounting the purge VSV using its bolt. To install the purge VSV begin by fastening it with the bolt while applying 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) torque and reconnecting both purge line hoses and finally connecting the purge VSV connector. After installing the V-bank cover users must reattach the negative battery cable while systems that need initialization following this step should be considered.
