  A: Begin the throttle body service by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery terminal. Professional technicians should remove and drain the engine coolant from 4WD and Pre-Runner models under the No. 1 engine under cover subassembly. The procedure for removing the intake air connector begins with disconnecting its pressure sensor connector followed by disengaging wire harness clamp and disconnecting vacuum hose and No. 2 ventilation hose and another vacuum hose release before loosening two hose clamp bolts and using three bolts to separate the intake air connector. Begin by disconnecting the water bypass hose followed by disconnecting the No. 2 water bypass hose and throttle motor connector. Afterward tighten the 2 bolts and remove the 2 nuts to detach the throttle with motor body before taking off the intake manifold gasket. The installation method requires you to put a fresh gasket on the intake manifold before placing the throttle with motor body assembly and securing it with 2 bolts and 2 nuts that need torque to 9 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf). Plug in all water by-pass hoses together with the throttle motor connector. Install the intake air connector using its 3 bolts at 8 N.m torque followed by tightening 2 hose clamp bolts to 5 N.m while connecting vacuum hoses and ventilation hose No. 2 with the wire harness clamp and pressure sensor connector.
