  A: Before starting on the floor shift cable transmission control shift, service technicians need to remove the instrument panel safety pad subassembly with passenger air bag assembly while sticking to restraint systems and service precautions. The first step includes removing both the air conditioning radiator assembly together with the air bag sensor assembly center. Unscrew the floor shift cable transmission control shift by firstly removing the clip and washer to achieve separation between the shift cable top and transaxle and then unfasten the clip and shift cable from the control cable bracket. First use the lock to disconnect shift cable from shift lever retainer then detach the top shift cable from shift lever assembly through unfastening the clip. Unbolt the retainer set bolts from the floor and disconnect the select cable from the grommet to pull out the shift cable through the floor opening and retainer before separating the retainer from the grommet.
