How to remove and install the Engine Control Module on 2007 Toyota Solara?

Disconnection of the battery negative terminal must be the first step before removing the Engine Control Module (ECM). Start the engine control module replacement by taking off the front door scuff plate RH, cowl side trim sub-assembly RH, instrument panel No.1 under cover sub-assembly and instrument panel finish lower panel RH. The removal of the ECM requires uninstalling both wire harness clamps then disconnecting five ECM connectors and unfastening two nuts holding the ECM. The operation to remove ECM bracket begins by unscrewing its 2 screws before proceeding with the removal of ECM bracket No.2 through the exact method. Begin by fastening ECM bracket No.2 through its 2 screws before securing the ECM bracket by using its 2 screws. Secure the 2 wire harness clamps before connecting the 5 ECM connectors while fastening the ECM with 2 nuts that should be torqued to 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf). As the final step complete the installation of the instrument panel finish lower panel RH followed by the instrument panel No.1 under cover sub-assembly and the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH with the front door scuff plate RH. The battery negative terminal requires reconnection and the system requires initialization.
