  A: Before working on the headlamp dimmer switch you need to align the front wheels toward a straight position then disconnect the negative battery terminal cable to wait for 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag activation. Start by removing the lower No. 2 and No. 3 steering wheel covers together with the steering pad before proceeding to separate the steering wheel assembly and lower steering column cover and steering column cover. The service begins by disconnecting the connector from the spiral cable after it disconnects from the steering angle sensor and windshield wiper switch assembly and headlight dimmer switch assembly. Installation requires the technician to use the claw to open the clamp prior to inserting the headlight dimmer switch assembly while also attaching the connector and placing back windshield wiper switch assembly and spiral cable with steering angle sensor then covering them with steering column and lower steering column parts respectively.
