- Q: How to service the heated oxygen sensors for Bank 1 Sensor 2 and Bank 2 Sensor 2 on 2007 Toyota Sienna?A: Before servicing heated oxygen sensors on Bank 1 Sensor 2 and Bank 2 Sensor 2 components you should disconnect the negative battery terminal cable and wait for at least 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag and seat belt pretensioners from activating. The Bank 1 Sensor 2 heated oxygen sensor requires removal through separation of its connector under the center console along with the use of Special Service Tool: 09224-00010. Proceed with the front exhaust pipe assembly removal after disconnecting the heated oxygen sensor connector for Bank 2 Sensor 2 and then disassemble the assembly by removing its 2 bolts and 2 compression springs and 6 nuts in sequence. Special Service Tool 09224-00010 should be used to uninstall the Bank 2 Sensor 2 heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly. Began by installing the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2 by using Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to attach the sensor to the front exhaust pipe. The tool requires a torque of 40 Nm (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft. lbs.) while without the tool the torque should be 44 Nm (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft. lbs.). Use vernier calipers to measure the compression springs with a required length of 38.86 mm (1.5299 in.) before replacing them if necessary. Apply a new gasket to the front exhaust pipe assembly while ensuring no noticeable damage and install two freshly obtained gaskets. Tighten four new nuts on the front exhaust pipe assembly to a torque of 62 Nm (632 kgf.cm, 46 ft. lbs.). The repair process requires front exhaust pipe assembly fastening with 4 nuts at 62 Nm (632 kgf.cm, 46 ft. lbs.) then bolt and spring attachment at 43 Nm (438 kgf.cm, 32 ft. lbs.) before securing the No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket with 2 new nuts at 21 Nm (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft. lbs.). Install Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to mount the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 2 before installing the heated oxygen sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 with the same torque standards. Check both exhaust gas leakage after connecting the negative cable terminal.
