2007 Toyota Sienna Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on 2007 Toyota Sienna?
A: The first step when servicing the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer) is to drain engine coolant. The service starts with V-bank cover sub-assembly removal and continues with the sequence of No. 2 air cleaner inlet, No. 1 air cleaner inlet, air cleaner cap sub-assembly, and air cleaner case sub-assembly. The engine coolant temperature sensor requires uninstallation after disconnecting its connector. The installation process should start with the engine coolant temperature sensor before torque application to 20 Nm (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft. lbs.) followed by reconnecting the engine coolant temperature sensor connector. Follow the installation steps for the items which include the air cleaner case sub-assembly, air cleaner cap sub-assembly and the No. 1 air cleaner inlet followed by the No. 2 air cleaner inlet. Install the V-bank cover sub-assembly following leak inspection procedures and engine coolant addition.
