  A: The power steering pump repair begins with draining the fluid then removing the front wheel RH, engine under cover RH, front fender apron seal RH, fan and generator V belt followed by disconnecting the No. 1 fluid reservoir to pump hose by sliding the clip. The service begins with disconnecting the pressure feed tube assembly through removal of the union bolt and gasket and separation of the power steering fluid pressure switch connector. The vane pump assembly disassembly requires Special Service Tool: 09249-63010 to loosen 2 bolts before their removal. To disassemble the vane pump assembly insert it into a vise using Special Service Tool: 09630-00014 (09631-00132) while you remove the power steering suction port union and its O-ring as well as the power steering fluid pressure switch and the flow control valve assembly with compression spring.
