    Q:
How to service and repair the Power Steering Pump on Toyota Solara? Posted by Customer
    A:
The repair and servicing procedure for the Power Steering Pump 2AZ-FE Vane Pump starts with wheel and fluid removal from the front right position. The service begins with unlatching the front fender apron seal on the right side followed by fan and generator V belt removal. First disconnect the oil reservoir to pump hose No.1 by taking off the clip while preventing fluid from dripping onto the V belt. A 27 mm wrench should be used to maintain pressure port union stability until removing both union bolt and gasket. Last part of the procedure involves disconnecting the oil pressure switch connector and employing Service Tool 09249-63010 with a 14 mm deep socket wrench to separate bolt A without removing it followed by bolt B removal for vane pump assembly extraction.
