2007 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the crankshaft position sensor on 2007 Toyota Camry?
A: The crankshaft position sensor service requires technicians to start by cutting power from the negative battery terminal followed by front wheel RH removal and both the front fender apron RH and V-ribbed belt and generator assembly removal. The service of the crankshaft position sensor starts by disconnecting the connector before extracting the clamp and wire harness together similar to removing the clamp bracket from the wire harness before loosening the bolt to extract the sensor. Before installing the crankshaft position sensor apply engine oil on its O-ring then bolt it up and tighten to 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf). The crankshaft position sensor gets its connector reinstalled after which comes the generator assembly followed by the V-ribbed belt and front fender apron seal RH and front wheel RH and lastly reattach the cable to the negative battery terminal.
