How to Service and Repair a Starter Motor (1.6 Kw) on 2006 Toyota Tundra?

The first step for starter motor repair (1.6 Kw) begins by taking off the engine under cover and conducting battery cable removal at the negative (-) terminal. The starting procedure begins by disconnecting terminal 50 from the starter followed by discharging the wire harness from terminal 30 using the nut. Lastly remove the starter by detaching its two supporting bolts. During installation process the starter needs to be placed in position while using 2 bolts to secure it before torquing them up to 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf). Screw the wire harness to terminal 30 and tightly install the nut by torquing it to 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf). After that connect terminal 50 to the starter. To complete the service reinstall the rear engine under cover assembly while you return the cable connection to the negative (-) battery terminal.
