2006 Toyota Solara Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Yaw Sensor on 2006 Toyota Solara?
A: Service of the yaw rate sensor starts with verifying its lack of damage or drops and the absence of foreign matter between the yaw rate sensor bracket and vehicle body while ensuring proper sensor orientation. The service process starts by taking out the console upper rear panel subassembly and then proceeding with the removal of the rear console box assembly. The first step includes disconnecting the yaw rate sensor connector followed by removing the two bolts that secure the yaw rate sensor assembly. The yaw rate sensor assembly can be installed by attaching the two bolts to proper torque settings of 13 N.m (127 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) before reconnecting the yaw rate sensor connector. Install the rear console box assembly while putting back the console upper rear panel subassembly. The last step involves running the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration followed by checking both ABS warning light and VSC warning light status.
