2005 Toyota Solara Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Yaw Sensor on 2005 Toyota Solara?
A: The process of yaw rate sensor replacement begins with verifying the sensor has no signs of damage or drops along with checking for any foreign matter between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body. Ensure the sensor points in the correct direction. Take off the console upper rear panel sub-assembly and then remove the rear section of the console box assembly before moving forward. First disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector before removing the two bolts that fasten the yaw rate sensor in place. Fasten the new yaw rate sensor in position with the two bolts while applying 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) torque and reestablish the yaw rate sensor connector. Read the procedure by reinstalling both the console box assembly rear and the console upper rear panel sub-assembly. Conclude by carrying out yaw rate sensor zero point calibration. Afterward check both the ABS warning light and VSC warning light.
