2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the radio antenna on 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Place the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery onto the battery terminal before starting the antenna removal process. Turn off the power alongside the antenna while keeping these switches in the up position. Then unscrew the antenna nut. Keeping one hand on the antenna rod use the other hand to turn off the radio switch. After turning the radio switch "ON" and antenna switch "UP" again you should remove the antenna rod while it extends completely from the motor antenna then hold the rod to avoid body damage. To install the cable begin by inserting it to the bottom position with teeth directed towards the back of the vehicle and the antenna should be set at 350 mm (13.78 inches). Users need to turn off the radio switch while untwisting cables only when completely necessary. The antenna should receive the nut installation and an operation check of the antenna rod after pushing radio wave band select buttons even if the rod does not extend completely.
