The first step for SPEEDOMETER SENSOR (A245E) replacement involves removing the air cleaner case followed by air cleaner hose No.1. The first step includes disconnecting the speedometer sensor connector followed by removing the bolt from the speedometer sensor assembly and then removing the clip as well as the driven gear from the sensor. ATF should be applied to an O-ring before installing it on the speedometer sensor and following with the driven gear through its clip. Fasten the speedometer sensor assembly with the bolt while applying torque of 11 Nm (115 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.). Reattach the connector afterward. After reinstalling the air cleaner hose No.1 along with the air cleaner case, fasten them with a torque of 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 inch lbs.).
