How to service the rear speed sensor on 2004 Toyota Tundra?

Service of the rear speed sensor starts by disconnecting its connector. The speed sensor can be removed after dissembling the 2 clamp bolts, clamp nut, and 5 resin clips which keep the sensor wire harness attached to the axle and fuel tank by applying 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) torque. The installation requires new resin clips which need proper positioning at the same angle used for removed clips. The bolt and speed sensor should be taken out from the axle carrier while using an 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) torque. After finishing the installation check the speed sensor signal while following installation steps in the opposite order of removal.
