The flexible hose becomes detachable by first unfastening its union bolt and accompanying gasket from the caliper and then following with hose separation while tightening to 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.). A protective flexible hose lock needs installation into the caliper lock hole when reinstalling while keeping a suitable container to collect any released brake fluid. Remove the caliper by holding the sliding pin while loosening each of the two installation bolts to a torque of 34 Nm (350 kgf-cm, 25 ft. lbs.) before removing it from the torque plate. Sever the pad contacts from their anti-squeal shims before taking out both pad support plates.
