The replacement of the transverse engine mounting insulator on A/T transaxle requires you to remove the 3 nuts and the insulator. To work on the M/T transaxle first remove its 3 nuts followed by the insulator before taking away the 4 bolts and bracket from the manual transmission. Begin by removing the 2 bolts from the front side followed by the bolt and nut from the rear side of the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH which allows you to detach this assembly with the front lower arm bush stopper. The installation of front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH requires front lower arm bush stopper attachment followed by bolting the sub-assembly to the front side with 2 bolts at 200 Nm (2,039 kgf-cm, 148 ft. lbs.) before torquing the bolt and nut at the rear side to 206 Nm (2,101 kgf-cm, 152 ft. lbs.). When fitting the M/T transaxle you need to install its transverse engine mounting insulator with 3 nuts at 87 Nm (887 kgf-cm, 64 ft. lbs.) before using 4 bolts to mount the bracket onto the manual transmission at 64 Nm (653 kgf-cm, 47 ft. lbs.) and finally retightening the 3 nuts at 87 Nm (887 kgf-cm, 64 ft. lbs.). End the procedure by mounting the engine assembly with transaxle for both 2AZ-FE and 1MZ-FE engine models.
