The first task in servicing the crankshaft position sensor consists of removing the RH fender apron seal. The protocol calls for disconnecting the crankshaft position sensor connector followed by the removal of its bolt and sensor unit. Put in a new crankshaft position sensor while attaching its bolt then torque it to 8 Nm (80 kg.cm, 69 in.lb) before joining the crankshaft position sensor connector. The RH fender apron seal needs to be reinstalled after this procedure.
