The installation process of the front crankshaft seal on a 2TR-FE engine requires application of MP grease on the lip of the new oil seal while ensuring the lip stays clean from foreign materials. Install the new oil seal using Special Service Tool: 09223-50010 until its surface reaches the same level as the timing chain cover edge. Keep the crankshaft angle uniform and remove all grease from the crankshaft. Place the crankshaft set key alongside the pulley key groove before sliding on the pulley. Fasten a temporary crankshaft pulley bolt to the crankshaft. Pursue the crankshaft pulley installation by using Special Service Tool: 09213-54015 91651-60855 to hold the pulley and torque the bolt to 260 Nm (2,651 kgf-cm, 192 ft-lbf). The crankshaft pulley bolt should not be reused. The bracket with bolt must be installed for vehicles with air conditioning and require fastening to 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf). First, fit the fan shroud and install the radiator support to frame seal on the left-side and then add the engine coolant to perform a leak check on engine coolant and oil. Install the No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly by using the 4 bolts for Pre Runner and 4WD models and secure them at 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf).
